First Day of Classes
We look forward to welcoming families back to school on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Our office will be closed for the summer and will open on August 28. All families will receive a welcome email from their new teacher with instructions for the first day of school by the end of the day on Thursday, August 28.
Key School Operation Reminders:
- If you have moved during the summer or will no longer have your student attending Cappy Smart School, email our main school office (CappySmart@cbe.ab.ca) to let us know. It is critical that we know who will be attending in the fall.
- Our office will be open for calls starting Thursday Aug. 28.
- School starts for our grade 1-6 students on Sept. 2, 2025. Teachers will call prior to start up to introduce themselves to you and your student(s).
- Kindergarten families, you will receive, before end of day Aug 28, a separate email with information about the days your child will be attending school. We do NOT have all K students attend the first day, as they need time to learn routine and will be attending in small groups on September 2nd.
- PLEASE ENSURE your daycares are informed of school hours, drop-off and dismissal times.

Yellow School Bus Transportation
Our yellow school bus routes are designed over the summer using the addresses submitted before June's pre-registration deadline. Get ready for some exciting journeys!

School Supplies
Students supplies are provided by the school for children in kindergarten through Grade 6. Families are to provide indoor shoes, backpacks, lunch, and snacks and a water bottle.
