Hi Super Cappy Families,

I hope you are keeping well.

This week has been a great week and so many families have reached out to us regarding volunteering. In order to volunteer you must have a recent police check for the Calgary Board of Education. Please call our main office for support, or visit the CBE Volunteer page for directions.

This week our Cappy Smart Student Council has taken leadership in creating community messages! Many thanks to our fantastic student leaders for their help in making Cappy Smart School great.

Safety Reminders

We have lots of traffic in the a.m.. I will send a separate message regarding some driving safety reminders.

Bridge Club Starts Again - Jan. 27 - May 26

We have another exciting opportunity to have further programming in our school by the Calgary Bridge Foundation. This time the programming will be for students in grades 1-6, runs on Mondays after school from 2:45-4:45pm, and STARTS on January 27, 2025.

This program will fill up fast, so if you are interested register right away. Please note that all communications about the program should be through the Bridge Foundation and not the school. There is only room for 30 students, so do register ASAP to avoid disappointment! There is a QR code and contact information in the attached flyer: Bridge Club Grades 1-6

Cappy goes Swimming: Feb 3-6, 2025

Important Participation requirements:

  • All children must have a swimsuit to participate
  • We have a significantly reduced fee of $15/child for 4 lessons! This reduction is because of the hard work of our parent society, who is paying the expensive cost of bussing, and a donation that the school received to cover a portion of the swim fees. The fee has been added to your child's PowerSchool.
  • Families with Fair Entry please contact the office to share this information with Ms. Agnes and she will give next steps.
  • All children must have ALL forms properly signed and returned to participate. We will NOT allow any student without completed forms to go swimming.
    • FORMS include:
      • Swimming Ability Form
      • Consent of Parent/Guardian Form
      • Medical Information Form
  • If you do not want your child to go swimming, please let your teacher know right away so that they can prepare alternate programming at school.

Have a Super Cappy Day!
