Hello Super Cappy Families,

I hope you have had a restful Spring Break and a chance to visit with your children. This Spring Break my husband and I paddled a canoe 135 km, 6.5 days, in the Florida Everglades through wind, waves, sharks, dolphins, mangrove forests and more! It was a challenging paddle, but it did allow me some time to process my own sadness about Ms. Norrie. The week leading up to Spring Break was exceptionally hard for staff and students and many in our community. Our students may still need support and guidance around the sudden death of Ms. Norrie.

For all of our families celebrating Eid-al-Fitr, today or tomorrow, may you share many blessings after the holy month of Ramadan. We wish you a wonderful celebration!  A gentle reminder to please call in and leave a message if your student(s) will be away from school tomorrow. Eid Mubarak!

During the month of April, our Cappy community will be working hard in the last 3 months of the school year. Please note that the labour action has ended, and so we will be able to return to regularly scheduled clubs, as early as next week. The month of April brings many other cultural celebrations which are listed in the dates of significance below.

All the best Cappy families, see you tomorrow (or Tuesday, if you are celebrating Eid tomorrow),

Rachel MacDonald, Principal

Be kind. Be courageous. Be Cappy Smart!
