Good afternoon families, 

 I hope you've managed to stay warm and cozy this frosty Calgary weekend!  

 Please note, there is NO SCHOOL for all Calgary Board of Education students tomorrow, Monday, January 15, 2024.  Tomorrow is a non-instructional day that was planned on the 2023-2024 school year calendar. 

 Other updates: 

 Parent Council Meeting- Wednesday, January 17, 5:30 pm 

 Come and join us for Parent Council. We will be meeting on Wednesday, in the Learning Commons at 5:30 pm.  These meetings are a great chance to find out about what is happening at school, what upcoming events are being planned, and how best to support our students with fundraising opportunities.  

 Staffing Updates 

 Ms. Crosby, who has been working with our EES students for gym, and with our Grades 4 & 5 students, will be leaving us on January 17.  Ms. Murphy returns to Cappy Smart after her maternity leave on Thursday, January 18.

We are sad to say goodbye to Ms. Crosby, who has done an amazing job teaching our students and we are happy to say "welcome back" to Ms. Murphy, who is well-known by many of our older students.  I will email families whose students will have a change with Ms. Murphy's return.
