Cappy Office Communications - October 1, 2023
Greetings Cappy Families,
I hope you are having a fantastic weekend and that you were able to spend time on Saturday commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Our Cappy students did an amazing job on Thursday; most students were wearing orange to show support for residential school survivors and victims. Thank you to the parents who were able to join us for the assembly – we appreciated having you there.
Extra thanks to our students who shared the acknowledgement of the land: Vincent, Samrawit, Addelyn, Thunder Heart, and Mada. You showed great leadership and spoke wonderfully!
Forms Reminder
Ms. Agnes sent home forms for those families who had not yet completed the forms online. Return the completed forms to your child's homeroom teacher. The forms sent home were:
- Consent for CBE Use of Student Information
- Consent for Use of Student Information by News Media & Outside Groups (third party)
- Digital Citizenship expectations
Healthy Hunger
Our first Healthy Hunger is on October 18 from Subway. You will need to register your child(ren) through the site: https://healthyhunger.ca/index.php .
Healthy Hunger is a fundraising activity organized by our parent council. Take the time to sign up and please do not drop off food from other vendors, especially on this day. We ask that if you order outside food from Healthy Hunger or send a packed lunch!
Save-the-Date | Student Learning Conferences
Parent Teacher Interviews are on October 19, from 4-8 and October 20, 8:00-12:00. You can begin to sign up for interviews on October 11. We will send out a reminder notice.
